Office hours
We offer Creative Advantage office hours for every Thursday, from 3-4 p.m., for Seattle Public Schools educators, arts team members, and community arts partners to drop in virtually to ask questions, give feedback or have a thought partner to talk through an idea or problem.
These sessions are facilitated by Tina LaPadula, Rayna Mathis, and other Creative Advantage team members.
Funding for Arts Partnerships
The Creative Advantage Arts Partnerships are in-depth, arts-learning opportunities that occur during the school day with partners from The Creative Advantage Community Arts Partner Roster. Aligned to our arts goals, student residencies, and teacher professional development are in arts integration and cultural arts learning. Funding for Arts Partnerships comes from Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and happens in the following ways:
Cohort-based funds
Creative Advantage Schools receive $15,000 for arts partnerships over the first three years of implementation to help them realize their arts vision and goals.
Arts Sustainability Funds
Once a Creative Advantage school has spent their initial funds, they are eligible for $5,000–$10,000 annually to support arts partnerships, depending on their equity tier.
Performance, exhibition, and festival funds
Creative Advantage schools and neighborhood K–12 pathways are eligible for funding to highlight student artwork and performances with the broader community.

Additional funding resource
smART Ventures, a $1,500 award for event or project support, encourages innovative ideas and create community impact. Available to community partners, educators, and students. Apply at the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture’s page.
